The Dirty Picture is an upcoming Bollywood Movie based on the life of Southern siren Silk Smitha, Starring Vidya Balan,Naseeruddin Shah,Emraan Hashmi and Tusshar Kapoor. The Dirty Picture is directed by Milan Luthria and produced by Shobha Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor. The Movie will be released nationwide on December 2, 2011.

Taking inspiration from late southern sex-icon Silk Smitha's life, Balan is all set to create some ripples with her performance in this bold, humorous, and musical multi-starrer.Set in the 80s’ South-Indian film industry, 'Dirty Picture' sees Vidya Balan reunite with co-star and veteran actor Nasseruddin Shah after the 2010 hit Ishqiya. Produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and directed by Milan Luthria the film also stars Tusshar Kapoor and Emraan Hashmi who play the key romantic interests in Silk's life.
The film releases worldwide on December 2, coinciding with the birthday of the erstwhile item girl and screen sensation, Silk Smitha.
